Summary
When Cassie Salazar agrees to a marriage of convenience to a soon-to-deploy marine, Luke Marrow, she never imagined how much he would truly mean to her. When Luke gets injured while deployed, he comes home and has to move in with Cassie, to avoid a court martial, as their marriage is considered as fraud. Neither are happy with the arrangement, but they have to keep up the act of a 'happily married couple' to everyone around them, and that was the only way to do so.
But what happens when they start developing feeling for each other?
What happens when someone finds out about their fake marriage and tries to ruin it all, just when everything was going smoothly?
Will Luke and Cassie have a happy ending or will it all end badly for them?

Summary
This is a retelling of the Love Hypothesis from Adam Carlsen's point of view. The story is still in its infancy, but eventually it will include missing scenes developing Adam's friendships with both Holden Rodrigues and Tom Benton, as well as all the original scenes between Adam and Olive. For every instance that Olive sees a flash of something...emotion, hidden thought, etc, flit across Adam's face, this story will attempt to fill in the blanks.

Summary
This will be a multi-chapter movie/book mixture cannon. The book and movie had some differences so I'm picking and choosing some from each. This fic will explore the story from the time Luke is injured into his recovery and ultimately through the development of his and Cassie's relationship. I felt the movie and book glossed over what happened to Luke... he was scared to go to Iraq (Afghanistan it the book) and his worst fears come to pass (the death of his best friend and being injured) but yet we hear nothing about how it happened, how he felt, how he managed to survive. We don't get to see any of the mental trauma that occurs or the PTSD and I felt that was unfair to his character.
There may be some depictions of violence (war), injury, drug abuse, unhealthy coping mechanisms and the like. If you are triggered by these things you have been warned. I hope you find this realistic and that it might fill in some of the gaps in the story line.Bookmarked by Neferi
