Summary
Early 90s. In the town near Moominvalley, mayor Moomin is dragged by someone to see a rock band his former best friend is in. Turns out, rock music is fit for all souls, and tough rock stars are actually kittens.
I needed them to be thrown into the rough actuality of the world outside of Moominvalley, and for Snufkin to fulfill his musical potential. Although, a bit of pining and a pancake or two never hurts.

Summary
Moomin doesn't know many things right now — like how he ended up in middle of nowhere with a busted bike and a boy he found dying in the alleyway, or why him and said boy are being constantly and relentlessly pursued across the country so they can repay their fathers’ debts.
But if Snufkin doesn't wish to elaborate, than Moomin can only follow his lead and hope that they'll find something, or someone, to fix their situation.

“Holding cell,” Little My sneered.
“It’s a piano,” said a voice. They turned to see Snufkin at the window, opening the latch and pushing it open.
“A what?” Snorkmaiden asked.
“A piano!” Snufkin said, folding his arms to lean against the windowsill. “A sort of musical instrument.”
