his hands tremble when he angles his index and ring finger towards the familiar back of the only boy who’d ever seen him, really seen him, but presently satoru tells himself it’s because of all the billions of trillions of atoms shaking within the confines of his impossible self, aching, begging, pleading to be unleashed–
and unleashed they are, as the streets of shinjuku are enveloped in the most electric shade of lilac, so bright that the image almost burns onto his retinas, and then it’s just red. not a brilliant scarlet, or even a rosy sort like how suguru’s ears would burn when he would get embarrassed, but a muted, dismal red.
and then it's static silence.
a year after suguru is slaughtered, something that wears his skin finds satoru. satoru is willing to turn six blind eyes just to keep him this time around.
