This was written as an entry for Chuck Wendig's weekly Flash Fiction Challenge over at terribleminds.com, involving taking someone else's character concept (created for the previous week's challenge) and writing a story within 2k words. I chose Kira Jessup's character, Ryan Healey, from here http://kira.jessup.co/?p=380
So here's my 1,999 words, which I procrastinated over way too much and pretty much paid the price for. But one way or the other it's done for good or ill, and that's kind of important in its own way.
