Summary
No matter how hard he tried, Peter couldn’t get up. He couldn’t fight back- he couldn’t even run.
How could he hope to protect the students when he couldn’t even protect himself?
A familiar shadow enveloped his vision in a haze of darkness, and Peter gritted his teeth at the figure that loomed above, a mere silhouette against the blazing sun. Their imposing size was the first thing Peter registered, leading him to believe it must have been another mutant, but as his vision adjusted he came to a horrifying realisation.
His attacker was no mutant- it wasn’t even human.
It was a machine.

Or, Peter becomes the target of an assassin from the future, and the only way he'll survive the week is with the help of his team, a couple of time travellers, and his father. Only problem is, Peter still hasn't told Erik the truth...

As he picked up his bags and prepared to run off, Peter heard the crash of the elaborate metal gates from the end of the driveway. It appeared Charles had brought his fugitive of a father with him.
“I have nothing to say to either of you,” Peter said.
“I’ve not yet spoken and when I do,” Erik said, “You will sure as hell listen.”
