Summary
The rain poured down, washing away the grime and dirt along the streets. The chill night air, along with the rain, shooing all that is awake with its icy touch. Suddenly a blinding light opens and spits out a figure shrouded in darkness leaving only a piercing golden eye through the void of the alley and the soft sounds of breathing that follow.
*Pant*
*Chirp*
“Shh it is alright, little one, we are safe now.” A male-accented voice broke through the silence that formed like a fog seeping into one's bones.
*Chirp*
The figure slowly begins to relax, allowing the shadows to retract their protective claws, bringing his features to what little light was given in the ever-thick rain. The now clear anthropomorphic tiger slides down the brick wall as his large cupped hand opens revealing a small turtle, hiding their eyes behind their third eyelid. The pain-filled chirping coming from the small toddler in the tiger's hand, the tiger rubbing the small tot's shell trying to take away the pain coming from their missing limb. “Shh, I know it hurts, little one.” The tiger's voice whispers as he tries to soothe the crying tot in his hand.
