    Dumbledore has plans for Harry Potter to save the world but Sirius and Remus would rather let the world burn than risk his safety.

    “I think I’m ready,” Harry said, setting down his wand.

    Remus swallowed down his nausea. The first Animagus transformation had the highest likelihood of disaster. After today, Harry could spend the rest of his life half goat or opossum. When Remus died, assuming there was an afterlife, Lily would surely kill him again.

    Remus unthinkingly grabbed Sirius’s hand. Sirius, for his part, tried to tamp down his excited grin to a more sympathetic one.

    Harry took a deep breath. For several moments nothing happened, then suddenly Harry shrunk down to something small, half-obscured by the unmowed grass.

    Remus and Sirius ran to his side.

    “Is he… a chicken?” Sirius said.
