Summary
It was strange what people would do to make money. Some people scam, others sell their own bodies just to make a quick buck. And others go as far as to sell a house where people had been murdered inside to unsuspecting families. That (very specific) reason is exactly what happened to Jeffrey’s house. He supposed someone believed that selling the house would make them rich, given the notoriety he’s gained because of what happened there.

Already over this question being repeated, Jeff stops walking and groans. Turning on his heels, he faces Natalie with an irritated look in his eyes. “If I answer this, will you stop fucking talking to me?”
Pondering for a moment, the brown haired girl nods in agreement. “Fine, sure.” For a couple seconds, Jeff stays quiet with his gaze averting as he taps his foot on the floor. Finding this a little strange, as she isn’t sure she’s ever seen Jeffrey behave like this, Natalie’s attention turns back to the younger murderer as he speaks up again.
“I’m here for a hatchet.”

Said killer hung from a low-hanging tree branch by his legs, hands stuffed into his hoodie pockets even as the blood stained material slid down a little due to gravity. Being upside down makes Jeff’s carved smile look like a gruesome frown, his ebony hair falling out of the hood still partially over his head. Jeff grins a bit, the red of his irises seeming to glow mischievously. “You look angry,” he points out, his tone filled with that deviousness that his eyes shared, “you look upset. Interesting..” Arms move to cross over his chest, “What are we angry about?”

For a moment all Toby can do is stare at the scene before him: Jeff was sitting on the floor, legs crossed with two small, black bowls beside him. One was empty and had a used brush in it, the other still relatively full of something that almost had a tan-brownish color to it. There was also a box nearby him, a folded up piece of paper that was more than likely instructions still inside and untouched. Leaning on the wall in front of Jeffrey was a mirror, cracked with one piece missing.
What was most eye catching was how Jeffrey’s ebony hair was a bright orange currently. Seriously, it looked like the autumn season was suddenly his hair color. It reminded Toby of a pumpkin. However, the stuff he was currently in the process of painting on seemed to be turning it back to black.

Summary
The battle between Midrealm (a false heaven for souls of the damned) and Hell (a realm where the most diabolical monstrosities roam) has raged on for thousands of years. But over time, Midrealm has bleed into earthly soil, spreading its disease towards humanity in an attempt to gain more soldiers. Of course, when your opponent plays dirty, you play dirtier. Now Hell has begun placing its own spawn on earth, using them to killing off as many humans as possible to limit Midrealm’s spread.
Two human men find themselves in the crux of this battle. Their fates align, destined to fight and kill one another. However, humanity has its way of sneaking these gruesome events. Tainting them with emotions that cloud their better judgement.
Will they become no more than pawns in their masters’ endless war for power? Die by one another’s hands? Or will they somehow manage to break the chains of their fate and allow mortal emotions become their new master?
