Summary
When the first report comes in, Alec thinks it's a joke. Unicorns haven't been seen- by Shadowhunters at least- in several centuries. A herd of unicorns loose in Central Park sounds like someone's poor idea of a prank.
Still, Alec has a responsibility and he's too used to life trying to screw him over with countless impossibilities to rule it out entirely.
And, sure enough, there are unicorns in Central Park.

Summary
Jace blinks, peering at the loft in vague stupefaction. “This,” and Alec’s parabatai’s voice sounds like he’s dragging each noise out from his exhausted mind and forcing it out before he can forget what word he just discovered. “Isn’t the Institute?” The final phrase comes out as a question.
Alec tilts his head in puzzlement, glancing at his brother as if wondering how he could possibly consider that Alec had taken them there instead of here. “No?”
Alec’s head moves back to level and he narrows his eyes instead. “We said we were going home after patrol.”
The ‘ergo, we are home now’ wasn’t said, but it was obvious in implication.

Summary
After exposing himself as an unregistered Animagus, Magnus Bane is threatened with a sentence in Azkaban. Thankfully, his long-time guardian Minerva McGonagall calls in a favour with the new head of the Durmstrang Institute, and arranges for him to transfer there for his final year. Cue the entire Shadowhunters cast as Eastern-European witches/wizards, Martial Magic, and Malek fluff (yep, the k is intentional).
Marked underage as Magnus is 17 at the beginning of the story, and there will be some light smut later on. General warning for homophobia, blood supremacy, racism, and also some past sexual coercion / trauma for Alek that will come up further down the line. I will put specific trigger warnings on each chapter where relevant.
