Summary
“Are you sure this is alright?”
You feel a little foolish with your hands hovering in the air, but you’d feel worse if you didn’t ask. Outside your window, rain falls in a steady sheet, filling the silence after your question with the patter of raindrops against glass.
“I am certain.” Simple and to the point, the words lack any sort of cadence that would indicate Yue wasn’t completely on board with your impulsive request.

Summary
“Please, can I stay?” asked Aizawa quietly, scanning the doctors and nurses bustling through the hallway.
You glanced at him, the worry in his face palpable even as it hid behind his messy dark hair. His eyes flitted to Eri, and you could sense the protectiveness, the tension in his body as he watched the girl. He reminded you of a cat in that way—his aloof nature belied a fierce protectiveness that would easily destroy anyone who threatened someone he cared about. It was beautiful.
You weren't a threat, so what was the harm in letting him monitor Eri with you? “Sure,” you conceded. “Stay.”
...
You were hardly surprised when you were called to assist with the aftermath of a secret raid on a branch of the Yakuza. However, you didn't expect to meet a young girl with a deadly gift, a sullen pro hero with a tender heart, or the reawakening of anger, fear, and guilt against the quirk you fought so hard to control.
