   Summary

   Penelope Featherington is nineteen, and officially on the shelf. After her falling out with Eloise, she is surprised, once the season begins again, that her best friend forgives her. The largest party that season is to be the Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton’s masquerade ball, which Penelope attends, dressed as a woodland nymph. After a night of passion with a gentleman dressed as Puck, the pair (reluctantly on the part of Puck) go their separate ways, leading Penelope to find herself in a compromising situation just a few weeks later, during a double wedding ceremony. Who, if anyone, can help her out of this predicament?
