Big smile, hands on his hips, eyes lit up behind that black mask.
“I’m Robin!” Tim squeals, but it sounds nothing like him. His voice matches his size and demeanor, high pitched and soft and…happy. He lets out a giggle, flexing his arms in the mirror, giving a kick and a belated hi–yah.
“That’s not a Robin uniform,” Bruce points out belatedly. It’s not the part Jason was noticing, but he’s right. It’s thin cloth, and too loose. The right colors and shapes, Jason supposes, but still, there's something off about it.
“Well, that and he hasn’t met us, yet,” Dick points out. “He’s not old enough.”
“But this is supposed to be his first day as Robin," Damian argues. Jason agrees—something is very, very wrong.

Summary
This family was failing Tim miserably, Damian realized. Pushing him away without even realizing it. Treating him as though he were just an acquaintance, someone they didn't really feel any kind of love towards.
Yet Damian knew that they did love Tim. They loved him very much. And frankly, so did he.
But how was he supposed to fix this issue? By telling everyone that Tim was a master liar and they needed to be on the lookout? No, that would just irritate Tim. But the only alternative was to stay silent and allow it to continue.
What was Damian to do?
Damian finds out more and more about how Tim has been treated by his family and is not amused. He decides it's his job to rectify this, since clearly no one else plans to.
(5 times Damian gently nudged Tim closer to the family + 1 time Damian aggressively shoved Tim into it)
