Summary
The Blacks want to marry off their youngest child. He begs Sirius for help and tells him a secret: He is a man and would rather die than be forced to be anyone's wife.
Panicked, Sirius arranges a marriage between his brother and his friend James Potter, knowing that Regulus can be the man he is in the English countryside on James' estate.James wants to ensure Regulus' happiness, even at the expense of putting his life on hold for a while.
Regulus wants to ensure James doesn't fall into societal ruin because of him.
Sirius wants to be loved.
Barty must decide whether he wants to keep causing destruction or choose redemption.
And Remus is just a very tired butler who watches James and Regulus dance around their actual feelings (literally).(Trans Reggie; set in the Victorian Age, 1890s. No horrible homophobia or transphobia depicted. Dysphoria is thematised.)

The Black family and the Potter family grew-up spending their summers at neighboring lake houses a few hours off the East Coast. Then one summer, James Potter stopped coming. Regulus can admit he was a little disappointed when his first crush suddenly disappeared from his life. But it's been seven years. He's clearly over it.
That is until his last summer before starting college, when that same golden-skinned boy steps out of the car, grown and beautiful, and crashes back into Regulus' world.

Summary
Regulus can’t do this anymore. Dying on a loop is one thing, being stuck with his brother and his insufferable friends in a curse is clearly another.
After seventy-two days of trying to fix it on his own, it's safe to say he has given up. His actions has little to no consequence. None of his companions notice his presence anymore. And if he thought Sirius hating him in their real world was driving him crazy, he’s learning him acting all so brotherless hits a nerve.
But when the curse goes off-track and James starts looking, Regulus isn’t sure being seen is any better. They better break the curse and fast.

Summary
Regulus can always count on his mother to ruin his life, but after she actually tried to take his for good and failed, he’s more surprised to see everything aligning again.
When Sirius takes him home, he reconnects with his brother’s friend group who’s been inherently part of his teenage years until he ghosted them all to keep his sanity – and heart – intact before it would be too late.
He’s back and some things never changed. Regulus still loves James. James has always been oblivious but never indifferent. And if Sirius has always known about his brother, he's learning about James. Maybe… Just maybe, he fucked up – but he won’t do it twice.
