It’s quiet. So quiet Bucky almost misses it. Gale’s voice is a rasp, barely there, like it’s fighting him on the way out.
“I don’t know how to keep sending them up knowing not all of them are coming back. I can’t…I can’t keep looking those boys in the eye and telling them they’re doing a good job when I’ve got to write their letters home next week.”
Bucky exhales, soft.

The living room looks like a wet gremlin pit. There’s a D&D map soggy with rainwater. Lucas is frantically blow-drying dice. Mike is sulking in a chair with a wet hoodie over his head. Max is stuffing tissues into her nose. Erica is perched like royalty on the couch with an unimpressed scowl, arms crossed.

Steve wasn’t moving. Not because he was scared, exactly. More like… emotionally exhausted from the constant bullshit his life had become.
“What the hell,” he said, flatly, “is it doing?”
“I think it’s cuddling,” Robin said, peeking out from behind the couch.
“That's not what cuddling looks like,” Eddie muttered beside her. “That’s what demonic possession looks like.”
“It could be worse,” Dustin offered cheerfully. “It could be trying to eat you.”
“It was trying to eat him,” Lucas pointed out.

“"I heh- I missed you.” Babe teases, fully flirting now, leaning in real smooth and close, lids getting heavy.
“Babe” Eugene starts, scoldingly, "save it for later." His eyes are sparkling though.
Babe is temporarily doused, but takes this to mean what he wants it to mean. And Eugene can’t help but agree.

Summary
Kiara and Pope mess up, big time. It's not their fault, really. They were just trying to help.
Shortly after Sarah and John B go down with the Phantom, JJ encounters Luke, who is not happy about his precious boat lying on the bottom of the ocean. It goes as well as you can expect and Kie and Pope are left to pick up the pieces. However, they decide to call the police on Luke and end this once and for all, despite knowing about JJ's fear of the police stepping in.
Soon enough, he is taken from his home and placed in a group home for troubled teens on the mainland thanks to his past and his criminal record, instead of a foster family.Series
