Summary
In the summer of 1177, after the treaty of Venice finally brought peace between the Holy roman empire and the Lombard league, a knight of the empire slips away from his post. There, by a quiet riverside, (The greatest, most awesomest) Gilbert Beilschmidt, meets the curious personification of the Most serene republic of Venice, Feliciano Vargas.
For the first time in a long while, Gilbert feels a little less lonely. The silver haired knight hoped this friendship could last forever. History, however, has little regard for personal wishes.
