“You’ve been restless.” A statement, not a question.
Coco nodded.
“Listen, I…” Agott trailed off. Her hands were still, fabric laced in between tense fingers, before moving slowly again. “I am not one that comforts others. I was raised to be an Arkrome, after all.” The impenetrable fortress where Agott’s family had lived, it served Coco an understanding of what that entailed.
“But still,” Agott continued on, “I’d like to know what’s weighing on your conscience. You may not wish to share, for who would open to someone who was rotten to them once? I know I’ve said it before, that I’m sorry for my previous grievances, but Coco—”
Agott with one hand still occupied, reached in her sack and brought out a silver flask. As Agott handed it to her, Coco swore she saw the girl’s ears turn red.
“Will you let me help you,” Agott murmured. “As you’ve helped me?"
The passage of time brings Coco to a past of troubled waters. Agott goes out to find her once more.

Summary
Ten years ago, in the old countryside town of Kahln, something terrible happened: a series of unexplained murders. Each victim of the murders bore the same detail: a cryptic mark carved onto their skin.
In 2007, a comic book artist, Coco, was living in Naakiwan Downs, a city half a day's drive from Kalhn. She is content with her life, living in Naakiwan Downs Apartment. However, one day, she finds herself mysteriously locked in her own apartment, Room 302, and begins experiencing strange, nightmarish dreams. In her recurring dreams, she found herself on a plain, and a lone, old, abandoned house that "welcomes" her arrival.

Summary
Agathe Arklaum has issues pursuing her dreams. She has always felt since her exile like she was never good enough. The rural Atelier to which she has run an entire country away has provided her with peace, but the only place she can get inspiration is around the smiley genius sculptor who inhabits the Atelier's barn.
It's hard being a superstar European author when you can't even work out how you feel about one girl.
Or Agott's journey of discovery about what Coco means to her, what it means to live in a time of dreams and optimism, and how far they'll both go for each other no matter what the cost.
A Victorian/Fin de Siécle Arkco AU where the Atelier is literally an atelier for artists.
Based loosely off the vibes found in Stefan Zweig's memoirs. Expect introspection and inner turmoil because Agott's internal suffering gives me life and her release gives us all catharsis.Bookmarked by Oasoobyy
