It’s stupid, it really is. It's 1992 and Mike Wheeler has not seen or spoken to his best friend in a year and a half. Currently Michael Wheeler is in his childhood bedroom, he is sitting at his childhood desk in front of his typewriter but his mind is not focused on the thrilling story that should be eating up all his time and thoughts. No, instead his eyes are locked onto a painting that has been hanging in the same spot for six years. His painting, Mike has spent six years trying to decode what it means, because Mike has come to realize he is not the heart and never has been. Mike’s fingers are resting on his typewriter. Unsure of what the last thing he wrote down was or how long it had even been.

Eddie placed a joint between his lips and patted himself down trying to find a lighter. Steve pulls one out from his pocket. He lights the joint while it is in Eddie's mouth. It was an oddly intimate moment for two guys but Steve would push it down until the day he died.
