"Peter takes in the city for the first time. He finds that Gotham is just as dreary and chaotic as everyone makes it seem. With his advanced hearing, he can hear about 15 crimes taking place in his area alone. He smells traces of gunpowder and other questionable substances on the people he walks past. But he also sees the weariness and fear in their faces, the way they hunch in on themselves and shuffle past each other in a hurry to get where they’re going.
Peter sees that these people have no hope in them."

After getting sent to Gotham after the events of NWH, Peter decides he’s done being Spider-Man. He’ll make a new life in Gotham City, New Jersey. Who knows? Maybe he’ll make new friends, get a new internship, give some hope, and join a merry band of bat and bird-themed vigilantes. Oh and if He gets a little dough along the way that’s between him and Wayne Industries.
