Jackie was supposed to be normal. She was supposed to be prom queen, she was supposed to have a best friend who wouldn't cheat on her with her boyfriend, hell she was supposed to spend her university time storming frat parties without a care in the world. What she definitely wasn't supposed to do was become some self-proclaimed vigilante with the help of Natalie fucking Scatorccio of all people, but fuck her plans right?

Summary
It took a few hundred feet of falling before Spider-Woman was able to gather enough mental strength to realize I'm falling and that she needed to pull the web taut; the force of which caused her body to slam into the side of the building. An involuntary groan of pain slipped from her mouth as the windows cracked around her and she stared up towards the peak she had fallen from. Spider-Woman pulled herself to her feet, using her web string to start the climb back up to the top, mind involuntarily drifting back to the origin of how on Earth she made it here .
When a string of mutants start popping up, seemingly hell-bent on causing as much destruction as they can, the city needs a hero capable of defeating them. Unfortunately for Shauna, she fits the bill.

Summary
“I’m glad you’re okay.”
She says it so quietly Jackie’s not sure she even heard it at all. Maybe it’s a post-almost-dying hallucination (is that a thing)? She chooses to believe that she did, if only for her own sanity.
She doesn’t feel okay. She’s never felt worse.
And she has a feeling, deep down, that it won’t get better any time soon.
