    Summary

Eijirou looks at the talisman. And then does a double take.

“This just says ‘fuck off’ in kanji,” Eijirou says to Midoriya.

“It’s very effective,” Midoriya says to Eijirou.

“What the hell is going on,” Jirou says to the room.

(In which the dorms are haunted and Midoriya is an exorcist. In, you know, a manner of speaking.)

    Bookmarker's Notes

I can't even... No one can really.

This fic is a master class in how to royally mess with your reader's brains. It is unapologetically twisted, fucked up and meta as hell. It's spooky, and creepy, and full of mind buggery.

Need an existential crisis? Shit's got you covered. But it's also GOD DAMN HILARIOUS, and really, it has no right to be this funny.

Only thing I don't care for much is how everyone blames all the terrible shit happening on Izuku. Like really? He has absolutely no control over this stuff and it's extremely obvious he's just as fucked as everyone else is. I could understand if they're mad or upset at his blase attitude, but he has to live in it all the time. It's either be indifferent or go insane. Which, I mean, yeah, he probably already is, and yet he's the most sane person in this whole thing...

But no, they all hate Izuku for all the stuff happening (except for Katsuki, he's pretty chill in this, surprisingly), and pretty much treat him like garbage the whole time. Especially Hitoshi. Izuku saved your life, bitchboy, get the fuck over yourself.

Still, their being jumpy, paranoid assholes does lend for some extremely funny situations, so it's a win/lose type thing.

    Fantastic. 🤩

Izuku thinks he is done with his life. He has nothing left to live for so it's best for everyone if he makes his exit in the most calm and dignified way he can manage. Easy, Right?

    Then his doorbell rings.

    Summary

When Izuku comes to, he’s lying in a puddle and missing a shoe. He rubs his head and sits up. He’d been in the middle of stopping an armed bank robbery when one of them had hit him with a beam of light, and now he’s sore and bleary-eyed in a vaguely familiar playground. In civvies, he realises abruptly. His one visible sock has a dog face printed on the toes.

“Good job, dummy,” snorts someone behind him. “Can you go five minutes without almost knocking yourself out?”

Izuku turns. It’s a little blond boy with red eyes and a smirk Izuku definitely remembers. “Kacchan?”

“What, did you hit your head?”

Slowly, Izuku stands. Everything’s big. Frowning, he checks his reflection in the puddle he just fell into. He’s met with big eyes and unruly green hair. “Holy shit,” he says quietly. “I’m tiny.”

    Bookmarker's Notes

This is pure gold, I don't care if the author never finishes it because what's here is fucking fantastic!

It's hilarious and the banter feels organic and fun, never forced or awkward. Izuku is a feral little goblin child and I laughed myself to tears several times.

Him and Mitsuki being besties? I didn't know I needed that until now, and Katsuki's reactions to them are just the best.

I'm kind of bummed that Izuku's friendship with Shoto is forced onto Katsuki because Shoto is too stupid to realize that a name does not make a person who they say they are when both Katski and Izuku are sitting right next to each other and one is CLEARLY not the boy he met when he was younger. Like 100%, Shoto, you giant, freaking gold star moron. But it's not his fault, it's the author making him as dumb as humanly possible for humor's sake.

I won't be heartbroken if this doesn't reach a conclusion, but it'd certainly be nice to get one.

Hitoshi was not here to make friends.

That had been his mantra since day one in Gen Ed. He wasn’t like his classmates who were content just to be in UA at all after all. Hitoshi was just keeping the seat warm till the Sports Festival when he’d make himself known and catch the eyes of the pros before finally taking his rightful place in heroics.

And yet, here he is, post Sports Fest, having won the whole damn thing and he’s still sitting in the same damn seat.

It’s enough to make his blood boil.

This was so good, such a fantastic read. I love the then and now of how it's written, and it's done so seamlessly.
