    Sometimes, if Wilbur stares for a particularly long while at Tommy’s face, if he lingers on those scars barely traced on his cheeks, his nose, he can hear a quiet, furious whisper in his ears. His own voice, echoing with a burning hot rage.

    You swore to protect him, the voice will say.

    So, protect him.

    Avenge him.

    (Or, Ghostbur witnessed and remembers Exile. His anger for Tommy’s mistreatment was a slow growing thing, and now that Wilbur’s back, it’s been passed on. It hasn’t gotten any less intense.)
