Rey hated Roy Mustang with all her heart. She thought she would never forgive him and blamed Roy for all the things that had happened to her while she was working with Roy in the army, for never speaking up and trying to save her.
The two parted ways as friends, each trying to live their own lives, but neither was Roy completely out of Rey's life nor was Rey completely out of Roy's life. There was a truth that they kept hidden from everyone, a truth that Rey always ignored and for which he hated Roy. Roy understood that Rey hated him and never held a grudge against him. He never meant for things to turn out this way.
Rey tried to survive and move on for a while, even after her misfortune. But she wanted to get rid of all the bad things and leave them behind, make her body normal, and live a life without any hate because she knew she would regret what she did to Roy and others. So she decided to live as a good person and she wanted to find love and feel the love of someone. Would Rey succeed completely?
