Summary
Farideh, tiefling warlock of the Cambion Lorcan, and her twin sister Havilar set out to find information about the Rod of Azuth, and any information they can get their hands on about the Hells and their willingness to perhaps commit Regicide against Asmodeus himself, before Farideh and Havilar's great great grandmother Bryseis Kakistos does it and usurps the foundations of the Nine Hells. They find that help via Raphael, cambion son of Mephistopheles, who has much information to offer about its whereabouts, and his maybe even his plans for power, for a price.

Born mute, Lar, the Bard, has been trying to find his true voice for over a century, convinced that his voice was stolen in his adolescence, and he needs to get it back before being accepted into Fey society. He steals others' voices to see what fits best, none truly fitting, but some catching his eye for their quality and bardic fittingness. Voices are conceptualized as these illusionary threads that appear at people's larynx, which he judges before he decides to try to thieve. An elvish cleric and her party show up to a performance, and catches the eye of the mischievous bard.

Summary
Alastor is unfortunately exposed to Valentino and Velvette's "Love potion" while at a bar, and as a result, has a rather adverse reaction to the drug. As his willpower degrades, a certain hunger begins to take over his thoughts and he goes to Rosie as a last resort, knowing the denizens of the hotel cannot see him in this unmannered state.
Rosie is unsure of what is happening to her friend, but as the drug begins to take hold, she realizes something is terribly wrong with him, and must figure out how to help.
