After high school they all went in their own direction. Jackson joined the LAPD; Tim joined the Army and Lucy went to college.

Anyone else wonder what Lucy wanted to talk about when she walked over to Tim? Well, here is my version of what I would have liked her to say to him.

Tim was lying in his hospital bed looking at Ashely wishing silently that it was Lucy sitting in the chair next to him. He knew from that first kiss in her apartment as Dim and Juicy that it was something more between them, something real, it was definitely not pretend for him and was more than basic biology. He had sent Lucy to UC school in hopes that he could tame his feelings but it wasn’t working and it was today after surgery that he knew Lucy was the girl for him, and not Ashley. So as much as it pained him to hurt to Ashley like this Tim broke up with her before Lucy showed up after her shift once Grey took his job back from her.
Tim waited 3 weeks until he saw that Lucy was hesitant in her relationship with Chris before making his move. He waited for her to break up with Chris and then they went on their first real date, had their first real kiss. Lucy said she wanted to take it slow and do it right and that made him happy that she wanted to make it work. After 3 months together they had just started sleeping together and Tim felt on top of the world he knew Lucy was his future and he was happy exactly where he was.

This series is a series of one shots. I will be taking actual scenes from the show and then asking the question what if and will then write out the what if scene. These will all be incidents between Lucy Chen and Tim Bradford (with the occasional side character thrown in – maybe – we'll see). I will be starting with Season 1 episode 1 and will take one scene between Tim and Lucy from each episode. So Chapter 1 will be a scene from episode 1 and Chapter 2 from episode 2.... The actual dialogue from the show will be included for simplicity's sake so those will not be my own words but the played out what if scene is all mine. If there are any scenes from episodes I have already done or episodes I have not yet written that you would specifically like to see a “what if” scene for – feel free to send me the scene you would like written out and I will try and make that happen.
