It's not the worst thing Cliff's ever done, by far, but he wouldn't exactly say he's proud of it either. It's surprisingly easy to get the number from Roz's phone, despite it being practically glued to his hand all the time. But 8 shots and 3 beers will do that to a man, Cliff supposes - even a Russian one.
He's doing this for Roz, and for the team. Sure, the boys had probably been joking when they'd mentioned going "straight to source" to solve The Montreal Jane Problem, but the last 6 weeks had been frankly unbearable. He wasn't sure what exactly Roz had done, but it had to be fixable. They'd been texting for years, for christ's sake. Undoubtedly messy and unconventional, but clearly this Jane was way more important than Roz was willing to admit. Maybe even to himself.
Maybe that was the problem.

“Hazing,” Shane mutters. “They’re hazing you?”
“Yes.” Rozanov pulls back. Shrugs his shoulders again. “Go back in your room, Shane Hollander.”
“And if I do,” Shane mutters, sliding his eyes sideways again. Siderov and Vasiliev look proud of themselves, basking in a kind of butter-wouldn’t-melt ease that only bullies ever truly know. Somewhere, their mothers are calling them princes. “Will that be, like, it? Or will they do something else?”
“Ah.” Rozanov rubs the side of his nose, sniffs. “Something else, probably. Or they will tell whole team you turned me down. No worries. Pretty omega turns me down, not end of the world. Guys on team will laugh. Also not end of the world.”
“That’s not…” Shane screws up his mouth, looks down at his shoes. He’s still massively keyed up, still just a little hard, and Rozanov is still very handsome. “That’s not…what’s happening.”Regina, Saskatchewan, 2008. But the physical calendar that Shane stuck up on their fridge was different, it was what Ilya had nicknamed, their sexy Shane calendar. Although they did write some work related events on it to not draw suspicion, it was first and foremost used to indicate when Shane wanted Ilya to use him. For Ilya to take what he wanted, whenever and wherever. This would be indicated by a red square drawn around the numbered date of whichever day Shane has chosen.
