“Let’s make a bet.”
Catra straightened, ears perking up. She liked bets. She liked winning them.
“If we win the game tonight, you’ll go to the dance with me tomorrow.”
Laughter ripped from Catra’s throat. She tossed her head back, fangs bared in open-mouthed giggles. “Wow, you really don’t want to go with me. The Rebels kick our asses every year.”
“That’s not true!” Indignation sparked and died in Adora’s blue eyes. “Well, we almost had them last year.”
“Almost isn’t winning, Adora. Besides, if we don't win,” asked Catra, shuffling to fit her arms into the sleeves of Adora’s letterman as discreetly as possible, “what’s in it for me?”
Adora blinked. “What do you want?”

Not that she was stupid enough to say that.

Summary
After being forced through the portal door, Luz finds herself back in the Human Realm alongside the rest of her friends from Hexside. In the aftermath of their final battle, the group is forced to try and carve their own path back to the Boiling Isles to stop the Collector and save their loved ones. Returning home is far easier said than done though, and they are forced to fight some of their hardest battles yet against the lingering scars of trauma the last few months have left behind. Meanwhile, the Boiling Isles face an unexpected apocalypse at the hands of the Collector, and hope lies in the places least expected. To bring peace to the Demon Realm at last, Luz must bridge the gap between the two worlds once more. The dawn awaits, and light shall be its beacon.
