another nice canon divergence that classifies as a 'fix-it'! wwx leaving yunmeng basically means less of him holding back, and that changes things! wangxian has their very adorable teenage moments without the looming threat of war among them (at least in the first few chapters...) and jiang cheng learns to come to terms with his love for his brother. also, unexpectedly bamf!yanli with her soft countenance but a new unwillingness to let her baby brother go unappreciated! the romance subplots are also nice additions.
the action! the fluff! the angst! 9/10 only because the author hasn't finished reading the whole translation of mdzs and that prevented her from exploring a few aspects of mxtx's gazillion subplots
