Alicent’s hands fall to her sides while her eyes start to become glossy at his words. Rhaenyra herself coughs, hoping to break this awkward silence. Daemon himself hides his smile behind his palm, eyes lighting up with humor. The children seem not to care one bit, continuing to eat and babble to each other loudly. The queen regent blinks once, twice, and comes around the long table, meeting Aemond head-on. She takes his hand gently and holds it in her own, looking directly at him, through the veil.
“Then it is a pleasure on behalf of the royal family and House Targaryen to have such a Septa among us. Please, join us and break your fast with us… Septa Aemond.”Or... Alicent goes too far in Driftmark and Viserys gets fed up with her. Aemond gets caught in the crossfire after losing his eye to Lucerys Velaryon.

Aegon had finally gotten his life on track, only a few months away from completing the court mandated courses to prove his sobriety to get his sweet boy back in his arms. He could taste the reward for all his hard work, couldn't wait to smell Daeron's scalp and kiss his head, long gone will be the days of pictures from a second party and monitored phone calls where his mother would snatch Daeron away at a drop of a hat because she could. Then, Jace comes back from college for winter break, after years of not seeing one another they meet again and Aegon doesn't know how to handle all the attention he suddenly receives.
"I like you," Jace says with an intense stare in his eyes. "I like you a lot." He repeats as if Aegon didn't hear him the first time and Aegon can feel the blush pulse from his ears, neck and cheeks. Usually, any person no matter their sub-gender ran for the hills when they found out he had a five year old son - and the ones that were a little too into it were walking red flags - he didn't know how to handle this.
"Okay," Aegon responds, an awkwardly blank expression with an overwhelmed look in his eyes. Posture somehow stiff and slouched at the same time.
