'You act like a child,' Valarr said, mismatched eyes locking onto Aerion's violet ones. 'Our fathers put us here to help you, not to watch you trash the place.'
That did it. Aerion lunged forward, shoving Valarr's chest with both hands. 'Help me? You mean babysit me!' But Valarr's hands shot out, grabbing Aerion's wrists, pulling him in instead of pushing away. Their faces were inches apart, breaths mingling hot and fast. Aerion's heart pounded, a mix of rage and something darker, hotter, twisting in his gut.
Valarr's grip tightened, but his eyes softened for a split second, confusion, then hunger. Before Aerion could yank free, Valarr crushed their mouths together. It wasn't gentle; Valarr's lips pressed hard, demanding, his tongue forcing entry as one hand released Aerion's wrist to tangle in his silver hair, yanking his head back to deepen the kiss. Aerion gasped into it, shock melting into fury-fueled need. He bit Valarr's lower lip, tasting the metallic tang of blood, but Valarr only growled low in his throat and shoved Aerion against the counter.
