The world went silent and stood still, Will’s ears ringing and eyes blown wide staying plastered to the dark spot on the floor where the pieces of the broken plate probably lay. His hands started shaking and chest heaving, audible breaths starting to leave his mouth.

Will shivered at the word coming out of Hannibal’s mouth, his breath husky from the morning and the overwhelming nature of his wake up call.
The profiler nodded as he waited for his speech to come back to him.
‘The more we can do to make it look like I was here all night, the better.’
Hannibal gently cupped his cheek and guided his head to the right, baring his neck. When he spoke, Will could feel his breath caressing the tendons there.
‘I’d leave more than one.’ Hannibal leaned in, his lips brushing skin as he whispered, ‘If I’d had you all night you’d be covered in more than just them.’
