Summary
For Daryl Dixon the world ended days before it did for almost everyone else, and it was heralded with a prerecorded phone message instead of a bang.
An AU fic where Daryl met Paul several years before the apocalypse.
UPDATE 1/12/2019: I was really put off the ship/fandom when the spoilers about Jesus dying started coming out this past summer, so I decided to end this fic at chapter 25 since there was a nice emotional resolution. Obviously I came back but don't have the inspiration for this particular universe, so I wrote down my plans for a sequel on my tumblr. Check it out: https://tinyurl.com/ripplessequel

Jesus tilted his head to the side. “If I tried to kiss you right now, would you kick my ass?”
“Yes,” Daryl answered, way too quickly.

Summary
“Hello? Yes, this is Trent Crimm, The Independent. I’ve got a bit of an emergency and need Coach Lasso’s mobile.” Trent paused, brow furrowing in irritation. “Well, his son is currently standing in my office, in my newspaper building, which is filled with bloodthirsty journos. Could you make an exception for that?"

Summary
' " Look, James," Sirius started finally, " I know you have a life here. I respect that, I really do."
Sirius stopped then, cringing a little at his words. James felt his chest clench because he knew.
" But?" He asked, not wanting to be answered.
Sirius sighed, dropping his legs down into the ground, his boots thumping against the wooden boards. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees, and looked up at James through a curtain of black curls.
" I need your help."
James couldn't hold his eyes, and looked away while he nodded.
" Right. What is it?" James said, tracing the edge of his yellow curtains with his eyes over and over.
" Have you heard of The Drowned Maiden?" Sirius asked.
" The Drowned Maiden? A pirate ship?"
" Yes, a pirate ship. Her captain is a man named Regulus Black. I- I need him killed."'Bookmarked by PastaPancakePie
