    Ilya stared at her for a long moment. Yuna studied his face to try and figure out if he understood her, but this almost six year old already knew how to hide his emotions on his face better than most adults she knew.

    “Okey,” Ilya said and then he turned to face away from her.

    Yuna decided that was enough for today. Shane returned and Yuna watched as Ilya’s mask broke when he saw Shane. Ilya was smiling at Shane like he was the only star in Ilya’s sky.

    Ilya and Shane meet on the first day of kindergarden. Yuna feels motherly towards her son's new friend. A story of found family and Ilya getting to find them so much sooner.
