Aeron screamed, terrified, under the weight of the cloaked Alpha. Its fangs shone white in the moonlight, saliva and blood dripping down his face. Aeron was going to die here, once the Alpha ravished him, the Alpha he had lured here with his weakness. A clumsy hand was fumbling at his face. Brushing away the tears, he realized with startling clarity. It shocked him into silence. The Alpha's shadowed face - because he did have one, of course, he wasn't some faceless monster, he was a man - was confused. There was a twist to it his mouth, an unhappy one. Not angry, Aeron was very familiar with the look of someone angry at him, but bemused. Like he couldn't understand why Aeron was crying.
Davos Blackwood, mad with rut, follows the scent of an omega in heat. By the week's end he and the omega are engaged to be wed. For peace and honor, Lord Samwell says. Honor for the omega, whom Davos has secretly been obsessed with ever since he scented him, and peace with the Brackens, because Davos' omega was one of them.

— Nothing — Davos bit his tongue, it was fun to tease Brackens, he did it at the borders and every formal occasion where they Houses met — I am just looking to a pitiful excuse of a future knight.
It was the first tournament that Aeron Bracken would attend in all his years as a squire, House Tully of the Riverlands was generous in those peaceful times to be able to make The River-Stream Tournament return, and the boy couldn't be happier about it, fulfilling his dream of seeing knights jousting, squires training, battles being fought in front of him, the songs of bards and the fact that he could find maidens he could court.
Of course, that's if Davos Blackwood hadn't ruined everything over a bloody jug of wine.
