Summary
In the earliest hours of New Year's Day, Carlos comes home from work intent on sharing his first kiss of the year with his husband. Where he expects a party, their closest friends gathered together to see out the year, he finds the loft in total darkness. His friends aren't there, and equally there's no sign of TK. As Carlos moves through the loft, he finds TK in the bedroom, curled up and fast asleep already, felled by the winter's cold that's been plaguing him for days. Seeing his husband in such a poorly state shifts Carlos into protective mode. When TK stirs and decides he wants to be the one taking care of Carlos tonight, instead of the other way around, a gentle disagreement begins -- the resolution to which will take some creativity, and the use of some tried and true methods of persuasion.

Summary
TK will never, ever get tired of being kissed by his husband. Carlos has always kissed him like kissing matters, like it’s not just something to do on the way to something more fun. There’s something about the way that Carlos’ fingers curl around the back of his head, the pressure of his palm on TK’s jaw and the sweet slide of their lips together that always sets something alight in TK; something warm and golden like the glow of the late afternoon light that spills through their bedroom windows.
