Five has spent the last 45 years haunted by one image: Klaus' broken body lying amongst the rubble, lifeless green eyes staring at him sightlessly. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw it. It was there in every silence he and Delores shared, between every assignment he was given. Klaus is dead. Klaus is dead and you can save him. You can save him. You have to save him. And now Five is back and the Klaus that greets him is somehow both completely different yet exactly the same as the sweet, fragile boy he accidentally left behind. And Five refuses to let anything happen to him again.

When Josh comes to find Sam in New York, he resigns himself to the fact that he will never have Sam Seaborn as anything other than a friend. But that's okay. Really, it's fine. It's just a stupid attraction and Sam is stupidly attractive so it's nothing serious because it would be weird not to find him attractive... Right?
When Sam decides to go to New Hampshire to work on Josiah Bartlet's campaign he tells himself that he isn't following Josh. No, that would be idiotic. And only the most delusional of people would still be pining over a man who a) was straight, b) had absolutely no interest in you, and c) was so bad at relationships, he almost made it an art form. Besides, Lisa is great. So there is no possible way that he is trailing after Josh like a lost puppy. Because, really, wouldn't that be pathetic?

Bucky Barnes is a mess. Ever since Steve dragged him in from the cold kicking and screaming, he has been spiralling down a never-ending abyss of guilt and torment. He doesn't sleep, he barely eats, and the only person he can be around for any period of time longer than five minutes is Steve, and that's only on the few occasions where he is not sticking his tongue down Tony Stark's throat. And isn't that a whole other delightful shit show? It kind of makes it hard to get along with your best friend's boyfriend when you murdered his parents...
So of course, when a strange woman kills a bunch of Hydra flunkies in front of him and then invites him out for pancakes, he figures that things can't really get any worse. And hey, free pancakes.

Getting rescued from the sarcophagus that Grindelwald had stashed him in turned out to be a thoroughly uncomfortable affair, if only because Graves suspected that Tina would never let him forget it’d happened, ever. Of all the Aurors who could’ve stumbled over Grindelwald’s vault, did it really have to be her?
Besides, Grindelwald hadn’t had that much time to make Graves’ said sarcophagus stay anything more than humiliating, unless his Grand Plan was to see how long Graves would take to die of boredom. Thankfully, Tina had found Graves before he’d gotten tired of grimly plotting Grindelwald’s murder. Unsettlingly enough, by all reports, Grindelwald had actually been credible enough at Graves’ soul-sucking time sink of a normal job that not even Graves’ closest minions had figured him out. Which meant that a) small wonder Grindewald hadn’t progressed his Plans of World Domination(?) further than aggressively stalking some poor kid and b) Graves clearly needed new minions.
