Summary
Roger can’t say for sure when the changes started, or what even set them off in the first place, but Buggy had begun to make himself…smaller. Quieter. There were some days that, unless Roger actively searched him out, he wouldn’t see Buggy once.
Or, Roger has noticed a strange shift in how Buggy-and by extension, Shanks-has been acting for the past few months. He figures it's about time he got to the bottom of it.

Summary
Buggy and Shanks are two apprentices on Gol. D. Roger’s ship. Unfortunately Buggy doesn’t have the talent to stay on the crew, and they end up dropping him off at some island with the promise of coming back so he’s not alone.
They never came.
Or: Buggy growing up as a lethal pirate just so he can get revenge on Gol. D. Roger.
