Summary
He sold his soul for his family thinking he could give them a better future only to lose everything. All that was left was his debt, his blood covered hands and the never ending guilt that would consume him every time he made an offering to his soul’s captor.
She carried the guilt of the consequences of her decisions, weaknesses, and insecurities. She shared the same blood covered touch as his. She’d rather exist alone than share herself again.
Both were existing, not living. Both felt undeserving. A life filled with emptiness, despair, guilt and loneliness not daring to hope for redemption.
A connection in darkness pushing them towards the light. They cannot save each other without saving themselves first.
