Lizzy Bennet didn’t much like her job. Granted, she didn’t hate it either, but it did mean she had to deal with some real a-holes. Like this one guy, who acted all prideful and snobbish, and insisted his name was some ancient Regency name. Why pick a phony name like that? Why pick fights with the barista over nothing? And, most importantly, why did he keep coming back? ❤️

The problem, Tim thinks, is that people think he doesn’t.

    Think, that is.

    ----

or, Tim has a lot of thoughts. Most are about Lucy.

This all bares a striking resemblance to... Well, to Isabel.

Tim lets out a long, audible sigh. He tips his head back, stares at the ceiling, says, "I can't believe this is happening again."

The second the words leave his mouth, Tim knows he fucked up. Because he sees Lucy stiffen, she stares back at him with a look of betrayal and pure rage.

"What the fuck does that mean, Timothy?"

Subject: FWD: FWD: Officer Conduct Complaint

    Sergeant Grey,

Here’s that civilian complaint I mentioned earlier. As Officer Hunter mentioned, I don’t think it’s really worth launching a formal investigation. It seems as though this Karen might be an actual “Karen.” Lucy really was having a bad day, which we both know doesn’t happen too often, and Tim was only trying to help. That’s the way I see it, anyway.

However, if you’d like to talk to Sergeant Bradford about the incident, just let me know the time and I’ll get the conference room ready.

    Best,

    Officer John Nolan
