And he knows it is. Can feel the warmth eating him alive from the inside. The sweat on his brow, the laboured rise and fall of his shoulders. He knew she'd bring him down to her level but not the extent of her incapacitation. Not how it would feel. His breath wavers and when he looks up the witch is watching him with wide eyes.
