Os Uzumaki sempre tiveram um vínculo peculiar com o Shinigami. Para os de fora, era loucura venerar o Deus da Morte, mas entre seu povo, isso era símbolo de respeito e compreensão sobre a vida e a morte. Contudo, nem mesmo o Shinigami, com toda a sua influência, conseguiu impedir a queda de Whirpool. A deusa Uzumi, patrona dos redemoinhos e da perseverança, gritou de dor ao sentir o massacre de seu povo. Em sua fúria e lamento, foi obrigada a aceitar as leis divinas que impediam sua interferência. Destruída pela perda, caiu em um sono profundo. O Shinigami, amargurado, permaneceu silencioso.
Anos depois, foi o apelo de uma mãe morrendo que despertou Uzumi. Nos momentos finais de Uzumaki Kushina, ela suplicou que os deuses protegessem seu filho. Summary
The Uzumaki had always shared a peculiar bond with the Shinigami. To outsiders, worshiping the God of Death seemed like madness, but among their people, it was a symbol of respect and understanding of life and death. However, not even the Shinigami, with all its influence, could prevent the fall of Whirlpool. Uzumi, the goddess of whirlpools and perseverance, cried out in pain as she felt the massacre of her people. In her fury and lament, she was forced to accept the divine laws that forbade her interference. Devastated by the loss, she fell into a deep slumber. The Shinigami, bitter and sorrowful, remained silent.
Years later, it was the plea of a dying mother that awakened Uzumi. In her final moments, Uzumaki Kushina begged the gods to protect her son. Thus, Uzumaki Naruto was blessed—the last heir of a destroyed people. Even as a child, he began to see those whom no one else could: the spirits of his family.
