    And it’s highly likely that she’d end up sipping her tea alone, nursing wounded expectations.

    She lifts her leg over the other. The streets outside were wet, couples rushing past under shared umbrellas, and cars stopped at junctions, windows fogged up.

    Root and Shaw have been sleeping together for a few months. Root wants more, and Shaw is unsure. When Root meets someone new, Shaw must figure out what she really wants.

    I wasn't too focused on keeping this in line with the show. It probably fits mostly within season 3 or maybe 4. A few things haven't happened yet. Shaw hasn't been captured. Samaritan is not fully online. They don't have new identities. However, they are working out of the subway. So I guess really it's a slightly alternate universe.
