Yuanzhi considered him, weighed the variables – let the black silk of Shangjue’s robe slide slightly off his shoulder - and in a tone he practically never used on Ziyu, said: “Ziyu…gege.”
It was not a purr. It was not even loud. It was simply soft, a word dressed without its usual armor, offered like tea in cupped hands.
Yuanzhi looked up, tilted his head, wide-eyed with a calculation so naked it became endearing by accident. “Please?”
Ziyu’s mind misfired.
Yuanzhi figures out he’s wanted and immediately weaponizes it: robe theft, throne theft, and “gege” privileges on cooldown.
