Summary
This started out as a a two sentence Harringroveson head cannon see below, and when asked to elaborate I ended up writing 2.5k to explain. Like a hypothosis and supporting evidence case study. I call this one ‘Billy in the middle’.
Hypothosis/Original Statement - “So on the topic of Eddie, Billy and Steve. WHEN they try double anal penetration (because you can't convince me that not something they would do) who do you picture in the middle, all cock drunk and shaking? And why is it Billy ?” - For clarity double anal penetration will be shown as DAP.

Summary
It's a suggestion from his therapist to help him get used to acknowledging the good things in his life. She wants Billy to write down the things in his day that make him feel safe, happy or loved. She called it ‘Cognitive restructuring’, Billy just thinks it’s a fancy way of saying Fake it till you make it but he’d be lying if he said his sessions with Dr Piper hadn't been helping so he decides to trust her on this.

"I should be getting ready for work Steve, I'm fine" He can tell that Steve doesn't believe a word of it because, yup there he goes, hand straight to his hip.

When Lambert runs into Jaskier in a small town in Redania, it's the safest he's felt in years. He and his brothers need touch and kindness more than they're willing to admit, and all Jaskier wants it to help , if only the witchers would let him.
Geralt and Jaskier are together, all the other relationships are platonic with a good helping of touch-starvation on the side.

The first time he hears Dustin and Mike mention the name Eddie Munson he almost walks into a VHS display at work.
Steve wants to ask them how Eddie’s doing but then his face from that last party flashes into his head and he always clams up. If he was Eddie he’d want nothing to do with him and rightly so.
Instead Steve teasingly complains about how much time they spend with Eddie and that’s as far as it goes.

The ghost of Billy Hargrove leaned in the open window of Steve’s car with that trademark smirk and, honestly, Steve was kind of impressed by how detailed his own hallucination could be.
“Wanna fuc-What the shit? HARRINGTON?”
They blinked at one another for about ten seconds before Steve’s brain finally managed to fire off a thought.
“You’re real?”
Steve couldn’t stop the words from spilling out of his mouth, his own stupidity a constant echo in his empty head. Billy’s face reflected his thoughts as he yanked on the door handle until Steve reached over to hit the lock with shock-numb fingers.
“Real fucking freezing. Let me in, pencil dick.”Or: The Pretty Woman AU literally nobody asked for.
