Summary
Alphys tried hard to be a good teacher. Which probably wouldn’t have been hard even without Toriel working in the same building, or without having to step into Mr. Gerson’s shoes. But she tried. And a part of that meant that she did her best not to... kids all have! Their own circumstances! You couldn’t just think, oh this is a bad kid, this is a good kid. Kids are kids.
...But all the same, it takes a serious effort of will not to try to find an excuse to rush out of the room when she notices Berdly lingering after class. Berdly was a.... good kid! He worked hard. He was... academically.... motivated....
