Summary
In the community, loyalty to Spawn means everything. Azure feels that his partner, Two Time, was a gift from their god, a blessing to be treasured—and owned. What begins as a religious ceremony in the woods evolves into something worse, with confinement and torture wrapped in the language of worship. Azure calls it love, and he calls it faith. But for Two Time, tied and overwhelmed, it becomes a nightmare from which they cannot awaken.
