Summary
Jaskier spends several years healing after Geralt turns him away on the mountainside, and his fragile heart is finally piecing itself back together. He keeps returning to Posada every year for reasons unknown even to him, but everything's fine. Who needs Geralt, right? The betrayal will fade eventually. The feelings too. The bitter, raw feelings...
And then he runs into another Witcher in the same damn tavern. He even looks like Geralt. But instead of a walking bulwark of brooding silence, he meets a man with an open smile, kind eyes and a laugh that warms his very soul. Another few chance meetings and Jaskier finds himself inextricably drawn into Eskel's orbit.
