“Fuck!”
Smoke grits his teeth, gripping the shears in his hand tighter as they begin to shake. There’s a small patch of hair near his right ear, unevenly clipped and shorter than the rest. A thin cut at the tip bleeds sluggishly, creating a trail down his lobe and onto the already dirty towel on his shoulders. He clasps his other hand around his wrist, willing them to still to no avail.
With a frustrated snarl, he tosses the shears on the weathered vanity with a sharp thunk.
“Fuck,” he says quieter.
