Summary
You find yourself living out a unique sort of nightmare.
There are people and aliens and androids abound, but even worse is the fact they're half familiar and formerly fictional. Nobody understands you when you speak, except when you drag up the harsh vowels of Mando'a from your throat and shape words with your hands. The Jedi keep you well-trapped within their temple walls; your brand of Humanity is so archaic, you suffer the same lack of immunity as your mother's ancestors did when Columbus "discovered" the Americas. They call you things like the lost ancestor and the proto-vergence, they tell you your blood is rich with a destiny that defies everything they know. And there, standing always in the periphery of your vision, is a young man who will one day become Darth Vader; he stares at you like you must somehow possess all the answers he desperately needs.
Too bad you can't just abscond into the unknown reaches of wild space and delight in the hermit lifestyle as a feral little beast. That sort of fun will have to wait until Palpatine is a corpse.
At least your minders are pretty.
