Summary
“I like it when you take care of me,” Yeonjun mumbles softly, words muffled with sleep. “It’s my favourite thing in the world.”
It’s just like Yeonjun to say things like that—skirting silly and sentimental in one breath like it’s nothing, as if it doesn’t flow into Soobin’s veins and shake his soul.
“I like it when you let me,” Soobin says, speaking to the darkness above them. How intimate it is—he realises—to be in Yeonjun’s bed after midnight in the dark, surrounded by lingering traces of his cologne, to sit in his bed as a welcome visitor and touch his hair in a way so many others have only fantasised about. It’s almost too much to have felt so close to Yeonjun all day, to have watched him fall apart and helped piece him back together, and Soobin wonders if these were all lines he shouldn’t have crossed because now everything between them feels different and though Soobin can’t pinpoint why, he can pinpoint exactly when.
Now.
Or: When Yeonjun's first relationship comes to a mysterious end, Soobin revisits feelings he thought he buried a long, long time ago.

Summary
Taehyun didn’t like his job per se, but the problem was that he was good at it — at stalking and minding other people’s business, that meant. And the money was pretty nice as well.
When he got the order to follow around Choi Yeonjun, leader of rising band N3W RULES, to uncover some juicy scandals, he didn’t except to find him making out with his best friend in an alleyway.
So — as any great best friend and religious follower of the bro code — he’s bound to cover up their hot fucking mess of secret dating shenanigans.
Taehyun really hopes he gets a promotion and raise for this, especially if it means he’s forced to deal with band member and trademarked nuisance Choi Beomgyu.

Summary
Every time Soobin has his eyes on him, Yeonjun feels like he’s made out of a thin, opalescent glass. Completely fucking transparent. The waves crash behind them, in and out, whoops and hollers of rowdy youth, the heat radiating off the fire, suffocating. Soobin’s eyes look right through him.
He can feel his heartbeat, strong and fast against his ribcage.
Another lollipop.
A moment of silence, and then, “What flavor?”
He watches the flames lick up the logs in the pit, slowly eating away at their casing.
“Strawberry.”
(OR: Yeonjun is forced back into his hometown after being kicked out of university and a brief stint in rehab only to find that the boy he used to bully in high school grew up into everything he's ever needed)
