Summary
During his brief time together with his mother, she gave him exactly two gifts: life and a burn scarring the left side of his face.
When she unexpectedly dies in the psychiatric ward, she imparts Shouto his third, final gift: a letter that sends him one hour away from his father's suffocating hold and into the countryside she once called home.
